The Mark Industries was founded in 1966 as a custom molding firm. It then developed a proprietary line of lipstick containers and in ensuing years a large portion of the company's revenue was related to the lipstick containers.
Desrosier Capital Partners served as exclusive financial advisor to The Mark Industries in its sale to Rexam Inc., the U.S. affiliate of the British firm Rexam PLC, a manufacturer of packaging materials, building supplies and printed material.
